Gala night closes Da Lat Flower Festival
Update: Jan 04, 2016
A special art performance night on January 2 in Da Lat city marked the end of the five-day Da Lat Flower Festival 2015.

During the event, dozens of activities including a flower and ornamental tree exhibition, a flower space around Xuan Huong Lake, flower-themed calligraphy, paintings and photos displays, and a vegetable-flower fair took place across the city.

In addition to promoting the image of Da Lat city in the Central Highlands Lam Dong province, the festival honoured the values of local flower and horticulture as well as introduced Da Lat flower products to domestic and foreign visitors, said Vo Ngoc Hiep, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee.

The Da Lat Flower Festival 2015, the sixth of its kind, themed “Da Lat - Multitude of flower colours,” attracted about 500,000 tourists to Da Lat, exceeding the number of arrivals during the last festivals.

Lam Dong is currently home to nearly 8,000 hectares of flowers with a yield of nearly 2.5 billion flowers per year.

Da Lat alone has four traditional flower villages, namely Van Thanh, Thai Phien, Ha Dong and Xuan Tho.
