Update: Apr 06, 2016
The Binh Dinh provincial People’s Committee, in association with the Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV), held a seminar on the 2016 development of tourism in Binh Dinh on April 3rd in Quy Nhon City.

Over the past 5 years, the province has developed its tourism sector remarkably, and gross revenue from tourism reached more than VND 1,000 billion. The number of national tourists visiting Binh Dinh increased by 21% over the past 5 years. And the number of foreign tourists increased by 27 percent.

The province has attracted many big potential investment projects. These include high-end villas, resorts and entertainment Nhon Ly; Luxury Ecotourism Resort Eo Gio (Strait Wind), and others. But development has not fulfilled potential yet, due to many shortcomings, such as lack of interesting tourist products and inadequate human resources for the tourist sector.

At the seminar, delegates and investors worked out solutions to develop tourism in Binh Dinh province and the Central Highlands. The focus was on developing high-end tourism and ecotourism. Local authorities also signed a cooperation agreement on tourism development in four provinces, including Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Gia Lai, and Dac Lac.
