The photos were selected from more than 5,440 entries in both categories of individual images and photo sets submitted to the Viet Nam heritage photo contest this year.

They capture the striking Ban Gioc waterfall in the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang, the romantic Huong River in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue and gentle rivers in the south, among other natural landscapes.

The event will take place at the university until November 7 before moving to April 2 Square in Nha Trang. The next stops will be Da Nang and Ha Noi.

The Viet Nam heritage photo award ceremony will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 18.

The contest, which is organised annually by Viet Nam Heritage Magazine under the Viet Nam Cultural Heritage Association, aims to raise public awareness of promoting and preserving cultural and natural heritages.
