Update: Jul 26, 2017
The Gia Lai provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has organized a seminar to strengthen tourism cooperation with businesses of Ho Chi Minh city.

The event was attended by more than 20 tourism businesses of the two localities, leaders of Gia Lai’s districts, towns and Pleiku city.

Tourism businesses contributed many ideas to assess the ability of exploiting and connecting tourism between the two localities. They highly hailed Gia Lai’s tourism potential, such as the cultural space of Gongs, cultural sediment, historical-cultural value and archaeology, but also mentioned some tourism restrictions that the province should overcome in order to exploit destinations.

Earlier, a delegation of the Ho Chi Minh Department of Tourism and businesses surveyed destinations in Gia Lai.

Mr. Bui Ta Hoang Vu, Director of the HCM city Department of Tourism, said Gia Lai is one of Central Highlands provinces which have the greatest potential for cultural, ecological and historical tourism.

He hoped the tourism sectors of the two localities would cooperate to connect tours and routes to create specific tourism products.
