Exhibition of Lunar New Year paintings opens

An exhibition of paintings for the 2019 Lunar New Year – the Year of the Pig, displaying 60 paintings of different styles on the theme "Pig", will be introduced to art lovers in Ha Noi from January 15-23, becoming an artistic highlight of the spring atmosphere of Ha Noi.

According to painter Pham An Hai, a representative of the organising board, continuing from the success of the previous exhibition, this year’s exhibition of paintings for the 2019 Lunar New Year – the Year of the Pig, has increased in both the number of painters and the participating works.
 
The exhibition showcases 60 paintings by 33 contemporary Vietnamese artists, including Thanh Chuong, Dang Thu An, Le Tri Dung and Nguy Dinh Ha
 
The works on display are of a medium size, from 80 x 100cm or less.
 
The exhibition is expected to contribute to the Vietnamese spring art space as well as providing new perspectives and interesting contemplations for the public of the Capital on the "Pig" when entering the threshold of the Year of the Pig - 2019.
 
On this occasion, the organising board will host a seminar on Tet paintings with the participation of researcher Phan Cam Thuong, painter Pham An Hai and many artists, whose works are being showcased at the exhibition.
