Japan-Viet Nam Festival attracts crowds in Ho Chi Minh City

The sixth Japan – Viet Nam Festival opened in Ho Chi Minh City on January 19, attracting numerous city dwellers and visitors.

With more than 140 booths on display by Vietnamese and Japanese businesses, the two-day festival provides visitors with an opportunity to explore the culture, arts, food, and tourism potential of each country.

There are also a range of entertainment and cultural activities, including a music show gathering famous Vietnamese and Japanese singers, a culinary fest, and seminars, which are held to increase mutual understanding and tighten the friendship between peoples of the two countries.

The annual festival aims to strengthen cultural links between Viet Nam and Japan, while opening up new opportunities for bilateral cooperation in other fields such as agriculture, education and tourism.

The festival welcomed nearly 200,000 visitors during last year’s edition.
