Vietnam Airlines to halt all int’l flights due to coronavirus pandemic

The National flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, announced Thursday that it will temporarily suspend all international flights until April 30 due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.  

Passengers are requested to wear facemaks on all flights

Accordingly, it will halt flights to/from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar from March 21.

Flights to/from the UK and Japan will be temporarily suspended from March 23.

Flights from Viet Nam to Germany and Australia will be temporarily suspended from March 24. Flights from Germany and Australia to Viet Nam will be halted since March 25.

Earlier, Viet Nam Airlines had temporarily canceled flights between Viet Nam and China, Hong Kong, Macao, South Korea, France, Russia, Malaysia and Taiwan.

Amid the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic and to curb its spread, Viet Nam Airlines will strictly follow the direction of the aviation authorities for requiring passengers to wear masks on all domestic and international flights.
