Khanh Hoa welcomes first tourists from Central Asia

The first 140 tourists from Uzbekistan arrived by air at Cam Ranh Airport (Khanh Hoa Province) on June 14, marking the arrival of tourists from Central Asia to this province.
 
The first Uzbek tourists have come to Khanh Hoa since Vietnam reopened to tourism. 
 
The charter flight was organised by Amega Tour and General Trading Company Limited. According to the business representative, from now until August 28, the unit will coordinate with Uzbekistan Airways to periodically host 10-day trips to bring tourists from Uzbekistan to Khanh Hoa and return passengers from previous trips back home.
 
According to Khanh Hoa Tourism Promotion Centre, Uzbekistan is the third international tourist market with direct flights to Cam Ranh International Airport. The previous markets were the Republic of Korea and Singapore. In 2022, Khanh Hoa aims to welcome more than 1.2 million visitors, including 1.16 million domestic tourists and 40,000 international visitors, with revenue of 4,000 billion VND, an increase of 80% compared to 2021.
 
Tourism businesses inside and outside the province and localities will introduce tourism products at prices that stimulate demand, organise meetings with customers, and introduce and offer new and attractive tourism products and services through cultural and artistic activities, prize-winning games, and promotions.
 
Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Le Thanh said that, in addition to the familiar sea and island tourism products and mountain and forest ecology, Khanh Hoa will introduce tours associated with Dak Lak and Lam Dong.
 
In addition, the festival is also introducing typical culinary culture, featuring an area for displaying and introducing OCOP products along with typical products of Khanh Hoa Province and some other localities.
