Promoting Viet Nam tourism in Belarus

(TITC) – From October 20 – 25, 2015, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) organized roadshow to promote Viet Nam tourism in Minsk, Belarus.

The roadshow was an opportunity to introduce Vietnamese country, people and culture to Belarusian people, enterprises and media agencies; and also for tourism enterprises of two countries to exchange information and seek cooperation possibilities.

Viet Nam highly values tourism cooperation with Belarus and Russian-speaking countries. Viet Nam which is well-known as a safe and attractive destination with the abundance of human and natural tourism resources, rich culture, friendly and hospitable people promises to bring visitors the authentic experience.

VNAT informed that Vietnamese Government has recently approved important policies to facilitate immigration procedures and improve the environment for tourism development, including unilateral visa waiver for Belarusian citizens in 5 years and for citizens of 5 Western European countries (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy) in 1 year. Accordingly, from 1 July 2015, these nationals are not required a visa to enter Viet Nam within 15 days. With visa waiver for citizens from these 6 countries, Viet Nam has so far exempted visa for citizens from 22 countries, including 9 ASEAN countries and 7 other countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Japan and South Korea).

At the roadshow, VNAT introduced potentials and attractions of Viet Nam tourism: along with famous destinations such as Ha Noi, Ha Long Bay, Sa Pa, Hue, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Binh Thuan…, an abundance of new destinations and services attract visitors, including Son Doong Cave, beautiful scenery and local life in Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, admiring Ha Long Bay from seaplane, river tourism in Mekong Delta, Phu Quoc tropical paradise…

On this occasion, VNAT’s delegation visited TourBusiness 2015, worked with Embassy of Viet Nam in Belarus and Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Belarus.
