The Ha Tinh provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism recently held a workshop to introduce the new tourism site Huong Son - Ha Tinh. The event drew the participation of 40 tourism businesses nationwide.
The workshop showed the province has great potential and advantages for developing its tourism industry. The province may work with neighboring provinces to develop a tourism region.
In 2015, more than 1.5 million tourists visited Ha Tinh, including 22,950 foreign tourists. The tourism industry earned more than VND 421 billion for the province.
To support tourism businesses in summer 2016, provincial authorities have taken urgent measures to attract tourists, such as room discounts, free services for tourists, extended bank loans, and reduced lending rates for tourist businesses.
