VNAT works with Asian Development Bank

(TITC) – On 30 June 2016, in Ha Noi, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) had a meeting with Asian Development Bank (ADB).  

In attendance were Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung – Deputy Director General of VNAT; Ms. Kanya S. Sasradipoera – Commercial Specialist, Public Management, Financial Sector and Trade Division of the Southeast Asia Department of ADB and representatives of VNAT's departments.

At the meeting, VNAT informed about potentials and development situation of Viet Nam tourism, process of developing national tourism qualification framework, implementation of Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals (MRA-TP), visa waiver policy, sustainable development…

According to the representative of ADB, in recent years, ADB has focused on supporting Viet Nam in human resource development, skill improvement through financial support, technical assistance and policy advice.

This meeting provided ADB an opportunity to grasp the actual development and need of Viet Nam tourism. Thereby, in the coming time, ADB will continue to research and propose cooperation programs to strengthen support for the development of Viet Nam tourism.
