The Belgian Association for the Promotion of Education and Training Abroad has cooperated with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture to open a training course for staff from 20 museums throughout the country, taught by Professor Anna Lienardy of Belgium’s La Cambre University.

The classes offered training on the preservation of paper, and run until October 26, 2008. The programame aimed to help museums better preserve and restore historical documents and paper objects.

During the programme, an exhibition of Vietnamese folk prints is being held until November 5, 2008 at the university, 51 Quoc Huong street, district 2 in HCM City.

The exhibition showcases 71 Dong Ho and Hang Trong prints provided by the HCM City Museum of Fine Arts.

The prints were selected to highlight the special features of folk paintings from Hang Trong street, Hanoi, and Dong Ho village, Bac Ninh province.

Besides prints, the exhibition also puts four painting collections of the four seasons, four women and four flowers on display.
