More than 300 photos capturing the daily life in Viet Nam from 2005 to 2017 through the lenses of Swiss photographer McFreddy are on display at an exhibition that opened in Ho Chi Minh City on May 4.

The photos are the result of 12 years travelling across Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong River Delta by the Swiss photographer.
The fertile land and friendly Vietnamese people attracted the Swiss photographer in his first few days after arriving in Viet Nam. McFreddy said that he was captivated by the stunning colours of clay, coconut gardens, and the hardworking Vietnamese people.
Addressing the opening, Swiss Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Othmar Hardegger said that each photo on display was an interesting story about ordinary people, adding that with his passion and experience in photography, McFreedy has managed to capture beautiful moments of the daily life in Viet Nam’s cities and rural areas.
The exhibits remind visitors that life can mostly be seen through simple everyday things, he said.
The event, hosted by the Consulate General of Switzerland in Ho Chi Minh City, will open for free to public until May 15 at the city’s Fine Arts Museum, 97A Pho Duc Chinh street, Nguyen Thai Binh ward, district 1.
