The nation park is set to be honoured at the 30th World Travel Award (WTA) Asia & Oceania Gala Ceremony which will be held on September 6 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Cuc Phuong represents the country’s first national park and is one of the country’s largest nature reserves. The diversity of its fauna and flora, the beauty of its nature, and its many cultural and historical features make the area an attractive destination for tourists to enjoy.

Covering an area spanning 22,200 hectares, Cuc Phuong National Park nestles against Tam Diep mountain. The park boasts about 2,000 plant species and 2,600 animal species, many of which are listed in the Red Book of Vietnam and the world. This is one of seven centres of great plant diversity in the nation.

The tourist destination typically welcomes over 10,000 visitors annually, with the majority of them foreigners.

The World Travel Award (WTA) was launched back in 1993 to acknowledge excellence within the travel and tourism industry.

Cuc Phuong National Park has been dubbed a must-visit place for nature lovers, with the site winning "Asia's Leading National Park" title in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
