Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung cut the ribbon to open a photo exhibition to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-China diplomatic ties in Hanoi on January 14.

The week-long exhibition was jointly held by the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and China’s Xinhua News Agency.

Addressing the opening ceremony, VNA General Director Tran Mai Huong said he believed that the exhibition will contribute to increasing mutual trust and understanding between the two people.

The traditional friendship between Vietnam and China is a valuable property that needs to preserve and develop for the prosperous development of both countries, he said.

Meanwhile, Xinhua’s Permanent Deputy General Director Zhang Xiaohua said more than 200 photos taken by reporters of both news agencies reflect 60 years of development of the two countries’ relationship.
