Exhibition on traditional markets in Hanoi to open
Update: Mar 05, 2014
A photo exhibition on traditional markets in Hanoi, in the past and at present, will open at the Vietnamese Women's Museum at 36 Ly Thuong Kiet street on March 6.

The exhibition, titled “Story of markets”, will share memories of old markets, the real situation of markets today, and expectations for future markets through archive photos and diverse and multi-dimensional voices from people, sellers and buyers.

Many traditional markets have disappeared as a result of urbanisation, or have transformed into modern trading centres like Mo and Hang Da markets.

At the exhibition, there will also be space for a traditional market, which will offer agricultural products from various localities in the country.

The exhibition will run until April 15 as an activity to celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8).
