Lao Cai’s traditional market space reproduced in Ha Noi

Well-known traditional markets in Lao Cai province, including Bac Ha; Van Ban markets and Sa Pa love market, will be reproduced at the Vietnamese Culture and Arts Exhibition Centre, No.2 Hoa Lu Street, Ha Noi from February 2-15.

Bamboo houses, images of baggage horses, traditional brocade booths and Lao Cai’s distinctive produces will offer a clear insight into the Tet market space, cultural and traditional clothes of ethnic groups in Lao Cai province.

The visitors will also have an opportunity to enjoy traditional cuisine of ethnic groups in Lao Cai province, such as corn wine, thang co, men men, black Chung cake and xoi ngu sac (five-colored steamed glutinous rice).

Additionally, an exhibition entitled ‘Colours of Lao Cai’ will introduce outstanding achievements in economy, culture and tourism of Lao Cai province, featuring photos, documents and models.

The event is considered as a highlight of the 2015 Spring Festival, which will feature fairs and cultural programmes.
