Thanh Hoa actively prepares for the opening week of National Tourism Year 2015

(TITC) - On 23 March 2015, in Ha Noi, the leaders of Thanh Hoa’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism had the meeting with the leaders of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST) to report the preparation of the opening week of National Tourism Year 2015 – Thanh Hoa (from 3 to 10 April 2015). The event organized by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee aims to promote Thanh Hoa tourism to domestic and international tourists.

The meeting presided over by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho Anh Tuan had the attendances of Deputy Director General of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Ha Van Sieu and leaders of functional departments under MoCST and VNAT.

At the meeting, Director of Thanh Hoa’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pham Duy Phuong said Thanh Hoa Province in cooperation with functional departments of MoCST and VNAT implemented many activities of the opening week and National Tourism Year 2015. The highlight of which is the art program in the opening ceremony of National Tourism Year 2015 at 20h on 3 April 2015 in Lam Son Square, Thanh Hoa City. With the theme “Thanh Hoa – A heritage area – Convergence and shine”, the art program consists of three parts: praise of Thanh Hoa land and people; introduction of specific cultural heritage of Viet Nam recognized by UNESCO; and exchange between cultures in the region and the world. The opening ceremony will dress rehearsal on 1 April 2015.

In addition, many key activities in the framework of the opening week will also be implemented, such as Le Loi Flower Street, photo exhibition “Lotus in Vietnamese cultural life” and “Ninh Binh river and mountain”; the requiem for the heroic martyrs; 50th anniversary of Ham Rong Victory; launching tour “Plying Ma River”; propaganda poster exhibition to celebrate major holidays in 2015 and the 50th anniversary of Ham Rong Victory; festival “Ho singing connecting rivers” in the North Central provinces; festival and certificate receiving ceremony for Ba Trieu Relic Area as Special National Relic…

In addition, the works of protocol, human resource arrangement, security, environment hygiene in tourist sites serving the opening week and National Tourism Year will also be implemented as the schedule.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Ho Anh Tuan appreciated the efforts of Thanh Hoa Province in the preparation and implementation of the opening week of National Tourism Year 2015. The Deputy Minister requested Thanh Hoa’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with involved units to welcome international tourists; at the same time directed units under MoCST in close coordination with Thanh Hoa to successfully host the opening ceremony and National Tourism Year 2015.
