Saigontourist welcomes 2,000 cruise tourists

Saigontourist Travel Service Company on November 30 welcomed some 2,000 tourists on board the Costa Classica cruise liner in HCMC, which is the third trip on November to Vietnam by the five-star Costa Classica.

Tourists were arranged by Saigontourist to take sightseeing tours in HCMC before leaving for destinations in the central region, including Danang, Hoi An, My Son and Hue. Saigontourist is in charge of travel and port services for the tourists during days in Vietnam.

As scheduled, after leaving the Navi Oil Port in HCMC’s District 7, the tourists joined in the HCMC-My Tho-Cu Chi tour with various services such as experiencing a cyclo tour, shopping at Ben Thanh Market, visiting an establishment making cakes, and enjoying coconut candies, fruits and honey tea – specialties of the Mekong Delta.

In the afternoon, the group leaved for the central city of Danang and join the Danang-Hoi An-My Son-Hue tour. In Hue City, they traveled by boat on the Huong River, visited Thien Mu Pagoda, Minh Mang Mausoleum and Royal palace, and other sightseeing activities.

The visitors, mainly from Britain, Spain and Germany, leaved Danang for Hong Kong on December 2.

According to the travel service company, Saigontourist is expanding cooperation with the Costa Classica to bring international tourists to Vietnam twice a month. So, the next trip will be on December 14.

In the past 11 months, Saigontourist welcomed more than 64,000 cruise tourists to Vietnam.
