Danang welcomes first direct flight from Taipei

The first direct flight linking China’s Taipei and the central city of Danang arrived in the Danang Airport on December 26.

Taiwan-based TransAsia Airways became the second foreign carrier conducting direct flights to Danang after Singapore’s Silk Air. It will operate two flights on Wednesday and Saturday every week.

Danang authorities and leaders of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam and the TransAsia Airways were present at the inauguration ceremony of the air route which is expected to attract more investors and tourists to the central locality.

Also in December, Danang will receive more direct flights from Osaka, Japan, and China’s Hong Kong.
