Vietnam is one of the most sought-after destinations globally, and a first-time experience journey to the Southeast Asian country made a special impression on a Canadian tourist like Elana.

While Vietnam's largest cities - Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City - are located in the north and south, the central region offers various experiences, which, according to Elena, not everyone has the opportunity to discover.

According to Elena Shepert, Digital nomads from Metro Vancouver - Canada's largest and most diverse port, love to visit Da Nang in the winter, especially expressing their impression of the central city of Vietnam.

Postcard-perfect beaches with bright sunshine, friendly locals, Vietnam is one of the best places to visit even though Elena has experienced many tourist destinations around the world. Most international visitors find this destination beautiful and extremely affordable, stated Elena.

There are several airlines and partners providing flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR), Canada to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), Ha Noi (HAN), Da Nang (DAD), and Nha Trang (NHA), Vietnam. Elena also recommended travellers to book tickets at least 1to 6 weeks beforehand.

Regarding the best time of year to visit Vietnam, Elena wrote, Vietnam is a year-round destination to visit, however, visitors should decide where to visit before checking the weather. Time to travel to Vietnam also depends on whether you are keen to attend any festivals. Commonly, travellers enjoy visiting the country between March to April, when less rainfall and the temperature is favourable.

Considered Vietnam's most popular tourist attraction, cruises through Ha Long Bay with its mesmerising views of more than 1,500 small islands and limestone pillars rising majestically from the ocean; places are pristine and less crowded. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to several threatened species that are endemic to the region, meaning they are found nowhere else on Earth.

Travellers who want to visit Ha Long Bay can book a trip experience through a travel agent or through an online travel service provider before the trip or from a travel company, suggested Elena.

Ha Long Bay is located in the North, not far from Ha Noi. This is a famous destination in Vietnam because of its landscape and cuisine. Whether you want to explore historic temples, sample street food or visit an art gallery, Ha Long city offers plenty of opportunities to learn more about the culture: Relaxing with a cocktail on the luxurious rooftop terrace or enjoying a cocktail or draft beer at a laid-back backpacker bar.

Besides, Fansipan mountain peak is a destination to explore on the journey in Vietnam. This is the highest mountain peak in Vietnam, located on the Hoang Lien Son mountain range in the Northwest region of Vietnam. The mountain peak has an absolute height of 3143 m. Fansipan is also the highest mountain peak of the Indochina peninsula and is known as the "Roof of Indochina". Elena suggested travellers hire a guide for safety and having the best experience. If you can't walk, or simply don't want to, you can choose to take the cable car, added Elena.

Vietnam is one of the most budget-friendly choices, stated Elena. Travellers can book their holiday on most major booking platforms. Since the cost is quite reasonable, travellers can choose reputable accommodations with good reviews. In particular, with affordable prices, visitors may even want to spend money to enjoy luxurious services. Some five-star hotels in Ha Noi such as Hotel du parc, Lotte,… or Ho Chi Minh City such as Park Hyatt, Vinpearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection,...
