With a series of tours for the autumn, Ben Thanh Tourist wants to promote destinations in the North for southern people who may not know about the beauty of the fall. The tour operator has recommended Hanoi and Sapa as suitable areas for visitors.
“The weather is changing there. You can feel the fresh air, see the color of the trees along the city streets change. It’s so interesting,†says the tour operator.
Fall in the mountainous town of Sapa combines fog, light winds and freezing air at night and in the early morning. Like other tours to the famous town, tourists will take in attractions such as Silver Falls and Cat Cat Village.
From these two destinations, tourists can expand the tour to the World Heritage Site of Halong Bay or the northern province of Ninh Binh.
Ben Thanh Tourist is offering a five day-four night tour to Hanoi, Halong and Sapa at VND3.7 million per tourist, a four day-three night tour to Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Halong at VND3.8 million per person and a four day-three night to Sapa at VND3 million per person. The prices do not include air tickets.
There is a tour to Vinh Trung Commune in An Giang Province’s Tinh Bien District for tourists to join the Bull Race Festival, the only event of the year to honor ancestors of the Khmer people there, a special race of carefully selected bulls. After being trained, the bulls race on a muddy paddy field, some 100m wide and almost 200m long. Normally, the races begin at 9a.m and run until 4p.m. This two day/one night tour costs VND950,000 per person starting on September 17.
